Povidone Iodine Ointment is a topical antiseptic that is used to cleanse and protect minor cuts, scrapes, and burns. It works by killing bacteria and preventing infection. Povidone Iodine has long been used as a broad spectrum treatment to prevent infection, yeasts, molds, fungi, and viruses.
1) Clean the affected area 2) Apply a small amount of ointment to the area 1-3 times daily 3) May be covered with a sterile bandage
