HealthWarehouse.com Inc., a Northern Kentucky-based online and mail-order pharmacy firm, has hired Daniel Seliga as chief operating officer and chief financial officer.
Seliga, 50, who had served as a financial and operational consultant to HealthWarehouse.com since August 2013, was credited with solidifying the financial reporting and pharmacy operations of the company (OTCQB: HEWA).
“Dan has held several leadership positions in operations and finance in various companies for 20 years, and we expect his skills, experience and leadership to contribute significantly to HealthWarehouse.com’s future growth and development,” CEO Lalit Dhadphale said.
The Florence firm, which is licensed in 50 states and the District of Columbia, reported net sales of nearly $1.7 million for the quarter that ended Sept. 30, up 14.5 percent from the same period the previous year. The company lost nearly $163,000 in the third quarter of 2015, but that was 69 percent less than the $530,000 loss reported for the same period the previous year.
The Business Courier reported in February 2013 that Eduardo Altamirano had resigned as CFO of HealthWarehouse.com and planned to leave the company that April.
Before Seliga joining HealthWarehouse.com full time, he was a managing director of Melrose Capital, a Greater Cincinnati firm that is HealthWarehouse.com’s senior lender.
Seliga was general manager and business manager for MVI Enterprises, an Ohio truck dealership network, from 2010 to 2012. He was CFO and vice president of operations for Cincinnati-based Mae Holding Co., a privately held wholesale distributor of commercial construction materials and a retail home improvement company, from 1996 to 2010. Before then, Seliga was a commercial and real estate lending officer for Bank of New York and PNC Bank.
Seliga received an MBA from the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind., and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from St. Vincent College in Latrobe, Pa.
