Description
Polycarbophil is a bulk-forming laxative that increases the amount of water in your stools to help make them softer and easier to pass. Polycarbophil is used to treat constipation and to help maintain regular bowel movements.
Directions
Dosage will vary according to diet, exercise, previous laxative use or severity of constipation. Continued use for 1 to 3 days is normally required to provide full benefit. Adults and children over 12 years: 2 caplets, 1 to 4 times a day. Children 6 to 12 years: 1 caplet, 1 to 4 times a day. Children under 6 years: ask a doctor.
