Description
A lightweight, flexible, one-piece system, Active Life® combines the skin barrier and the pouch into one simple, easy-to-manage system. Pouch allows for draining.
Directions
The peristomal skin must be clean, dry, and free from any solvent or greasy substances. For pouches with a precut stoma opening: Select a pouch with the precut stoma opening at least 1/8 in. (3mm) larger than the largest stoma diameter. DO NOT enlarge the precut stoma opening. Remove protective plastic shield from Stomahesive disc. For custom cut pouches: Measure stoma with guide provided. Remove protective plastic shield from Stomahesive. Before cutting, seperate front and back panels. Using guidelines on release paper, cut the center hole the same size as the stoma. Do not cut beyond last line. Pouch Application: Remove release papers B and C. Ensure a snug fit around the stoma. Note: This product may remain in place while bathing, showering or swimming. Pat dry after exposure to water. Should irritation occur, discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional.
WARNINGS
Keep out of reach of children. Care should be exercised when using adhesive products around a flush urostomy, especially when associated with megaureters and the absence of a urinary reservoir. Rarely, clinical reports have been documented of the presence of adhesive in the renal collecting system of these patients. Should a mass be detected in the urinary tract, evaluate the continued use of the adhesive product and initiate appropriate clinical management. Adhere to local disposal requirements/regulations.
