Clintabs 75 mg Tablets
Clindamycin is an antibiotic that is used to treat susceptible soft tissue, dental, bone, and some protozoal infections.
Caution: Federal (USA) law restricts this drug to use by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian. Keep this and all drugs out of the reach of children.
Description:Clintabs is a prescription broad-spectrum antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections of the skin, mouth and bones caused by certain types of bacteria. It may also be prescribed to treat certain protozoan infections, such as toxoplasmosis and babesiosis. It works by stopping bacteria from producing proteins that encourage their growth and reproduction, stopping the spread of infection and allowing the body's immune system to kill the bacteria.
Indications:Clindamycin is an antibiotic that is used to treat susceptible soft tissue, dental, bone, and some protozoal infections.
Dosage: Use according to your veterinarian's exact directions. If you miss a dose, give it as soon as you remember. If you miss a dose and it's nearly time for the next one, skip the dose you missed and continue the medication on schedule.
Precautions: Do not give Clintabs to pets who are allergic to it or similar antibiotics; consult your veterinarian if you're unsure if Clintabs is right for your pet.
Adverse Reactions:Possible Side Effects Minor gastrointestinal side effects such as vomiting and diarrhea have occurred. Drug & Food Interactions Interactions may occur with erythromycin or cyclosporine. Other interactions may occur so always tell your vet about any other medications/supplements your pet is taking prior to giving Clindamycin.
Safety:In the event of an overdose: Contact your veterinarian immediately.
