Apoquel 3.6mg Tablets

DESCRIPTION: Apoquel Tablet is for the treatment of chronic manifestations of atopic dermatitis in dogs. Apoquel is a new treatment for the control of atopic dermatitis, the most common allergic skin disease in dogs

USES:Apoquel from Zoetis provides rapid relief of pruritus (itch) in dogs associated with allergic dermatitis and provides control of atopic dermatitis in dogs at least 12 months of age. Unlike common therapies such as steroids, cyclosporines or antihistamines, APOQUEL is the only treatment specifically designed to go straight to the source of the itch.

CAUTION: Federal law restricts this drug to use by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian.

PRECAUTIONS: APOQUEL is not for use in dogs with serious infections. APOQUEL may increase susceptibility to infection, including demodicosis, and exacerbate neoplastic conditions (see Adverse Reactions and Animal Safety).

Not for human use. Keep this and all drugs out of the reach of children. Keep the product in the original packaging until use, in order to prevent children from getting direct access to the product. Do not eat, drink or smoke while handling the product. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water immediately after use of the product.

DOSAGE: The dose of APOQUEL (oclacitinib maleate) tablets is 0.18 to 0.27 mg oclacitinib/lb (0.4 to 0.6 mg oclacitinib/kg) body weight, administered orally, twice daily for up to 14 days, and then administered once daily for maintenance therapy. APOQUEL may be administered with or without food.
