I take this drug twice daily to keep my intermittent idiopathic hives in check. It works very well and even better when taken with 150 mg Zantac or the generic. (Posted on 10/14/09)
Don't pay grocery store prices. This is a great deal and it works how it's supposed to. This is probably my fifth bottle of this stuff. I used to get it as a prescription in the same package from the same laboratory through my school's pharmacy. It was $10 when it was a prescription, then I could buy the same bottle off the shelf for under $6 when it became over-the-counter. It's still worth $8.25. (Posted on 9/26/09)
I bought 14 tabs at my local drug store and it WORKED. They cost $5.98 plus tax @ 6.5%. Then I went online and found this site. I WILL be ordering the 100 tabs for $8.25 (free shiping). (Posted on 8/27/09)
Your price for 10mg Cetirizine Hydrochloride is $8.25 for 100 tabs, while Walgreens' 10mg Wal-Zyr (the same thing) is $29.99 for 90 tabs.
That's $0.33 per tab from Walgreens and $0.0825 per tab from you guys, which means that Walgreens is charging 4 times as much as you are for the same drug.
Thanks! :-)

I agree w/ the other reviews. I have severe urticuria (hives). The VA stopped prescribing Zyrtec due to the expense and now Sam's Club has 350 tabs of generic Citerizine for about $15. I thought WalMart might have it since it's Sams' sister, but 'No' they do not carry the generic. You get two bottles of 175 tabs. Fabulous drug!! Great Price!! (Posted on 4/21/09)
My hubby has allergies to everything, it seems, and has been taking Zyrtec for years. He's tried just about everything else, but only Zyrtec works.
Thank goodness for Cetirizine! I first bought it in a retail store when the generic became available, then went online & found this wonderful establishment.
Cetirizine works just the same as Zyrtec and you can't beat this price. (Posted on 4/20/09)
This stuff really helps me with my allergies, have been using this brand for over a year now. (Posted on 4/18/09)
In the past I have had very bad seasonal allergies. I have used Benadryl (diphenhydramine), Claritin (loratadine), and generic Zyrtec (cetirizine). I have found generic Zyrtec (manufactured by Apotex and sold at HealthWarehouse.com) to be dramatically better than Benadryl (which made me severely drowsy) and also somewhat more effective than Claritin.
A search at PubMed for "certirizine" and "loratadine" also seems to confirm that cetirizine tends to be more effective:
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/
(The PubMed search results also indicate that cetirizine tends to cause more drowsiness, but I do not believe it causes drowsiness in my case.)
Zyrtec has been expensive in the past, but at $0.08 per 10mg daily dose, the price for Apotex generic Zyrtec at HealthWarehouse.com is among the least expensive allergy medications available. (Posted on 4/17/09)
I take a plethora of medications, many for allergy and asthma. This stuff still holds up in quality and just as effective as name brand! (Posted on 3/23/09)
Seriously! Go to the drugstore and spend $20 for 14 brand name pills, or spend $7 here for 100 pills! Same stuff! (Posted on 3/17/09)
I've been taking Cetirizine now for about 2 +/-years(?). Before it came out I was disabled because of my allergies. No really. I lost jobs and my life was a mess!!! Something as simple as a trip to the store would end up with me and other people getting about 1/2 cup (or more) of snot on everything. An awards ceremony for my son would end up in a disaster! (You wouldn't believe how fast I could clear a room!) After a while I didn't even go outside and would just stay in doors for days and so I became a "shut-in". Everyday I would use up about 1/2-1 FULL box of Kleenex over a period of about 3-5 hrs. (sometimes more) EVERY SINGLE DAY. Shots? No. Did that. Didn't work for me. Two years of it and I still woke up every morning and most of the day feeling like I was "drowning" and having to breath through my mouth like a fish. Not to mention having to get the shots 2-3X a week at $30.00 each shot. It got expensive FAST! Now I take Cetirizine 2X a day. Yes, I know they are supposed to be good for 24 hrs each, but with my nose it's gotta be this way. I still take Ben. right before bedtime although I don't really need it (anymore), but it helps me sleep better. Cetirizine doesn't make me sleepy at all. Actually, I gotta take extra stuff like Ben. to fall asleep. Overall the last 2 months I've had only ONE severe (my usual) allergy attack, but it was because I forgot to take Cetirizine for a day and I didn't get enough sleep that night. Now I'm happy to say I'll be returning to school in a few weeks and I hope to finally finish the degree that I started. (As long as my nose will let me. Cross my fingers!) So what am I allergic to? Dust, dust mites, and cigarette smoke, but it feels like the entire world sometimes.
I really hope this helps. I know most people don't have allergies as bad as mine, but if you do... Cetirizine is the way to go. Sorry if this sounds like a commercial, but I just can't say enough good things about this stuff!!! Oh, thank you, thank you whoever created Cetirizine. You are a life saver! (Posted on 1/14/09)
Cetirizine is also very helpful for tobacco sensitivity. Reduces sinus headache and sneezing, and doesn't give me a dry mouth or sore throat. (Posted on 11/28/08)
I am a board certified allergist in Cleveland Ohio. I have both purchased this product and recommended it to many of my patients. It works very well and is a fraction of the cost of namebrand Zyrtec.
Cetirizine is slightly more effective than loratidine and is slightly more sedating. Therefore I usually have patients take it after dinner time - but it is not highly sedating and some people don't even notice it.
Overall a very good product. (Posted on 6/8/08)
