1. Wipe the sensor tip with water or alcohol.
2. Press the On/Off button. You will hear a small “beep” indicating the thermometer is on and the LCD Screen will display as shown in Picture A.
After the LCD Screen appears in Picture A, the LCD will quickly display the last temperature reading and then it will display as Picture B with a flashing “F”.
The flashing symbol “F” in the LCD means you can now take the temperature.
3. Place the tip of the thermometer under the tongue, as far back as comfortable.
4. When the thermometer is finished taking the temperature it will make a “Beep-Beep-Beep-Beep...” alarm sound and the symbol “F” on the LCD will stop flashing. This takes approximately one minute. Read the temperature.
Fever indicator - In step 4, when testing is finished, if the thermometer reads a higher temperature than normal, it will sound three beeps in a row in three sequences, such as: “Beep-Beep-Beep, Beep-Beep-Beep, Beep-Beep-Beep”.
5. The thermometer will turn off automatically in approximately 10 minutes. To prolong the battery life, turn the thermometer off manually by pressing the On/Off button.
Pull of the cap. Turn the battery clamp, take out the battery. Insert new battery, turn battery clamp & recap.
The thermometer is guaranteed for 2-years from the date of purchase, except for the batteries. If the thermometer doesn not function properly due to defective components or poor workmanship, we will repair or replace it for free. The warranty does not cover damages to your thermometer due to improper handling.
