For the temporary relief of: minor aches, pains, headaches; to reduce fever associated with colds, sore throats and teething.
Do not use if pain persists for more than 10 days (for adults) or 5 days (for children). Do not use if fever persists for more than 3 days. Do not exceed recommended dosage. To be administrated only under adult supervision. Drink water with each dose. Children under 3 yrs., under 32 lbs.: Consult a doctor. 3 to under 4 yrs., 32 to 35 lbs.: 2 tablets. 4 to under 6 yrs., 36 to 45 lbs.: 3 tablets. 6 to under 9 yrs., 46 to 65 lbs.: 4 tablets. 9 to under 11 yrs., 66 to 76 lbs.: 4 -5 tablets. 11 to under 12 yrs., 77 to 83 lbs.: 4-6 tablets. Adults and Children 12 yrs. and over: 5-8 tablets. Repeat every 4 hours while symptoms persist up to maximum of 5 doses in 24 hours or as directed by a doctor.
Reye's syndrome: Children and teenagers should not use this medicine for chicken pox or flu symptoms before a doctor is consulted about Reye's syndrome, a rare but serious illness reported to be associated with aspirin. Alcohol warning: If you consume 3 or more alcoholic drinks every day, ask your doctor whether you should take aspirin or other pain relievers/fever reducers. Aspirin may cause stomach bleeding. Do not use if you are allergic to aspirin; for at least 7 days after tonsillectomy or oral surgery. Ask a doctor before use if you have: a child experiencing arthritis pain; bleeding problems; asthma; ulcers; stomach problems (such as heartburn, upset stomach, or stomach pain) that persist or recur. Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if you are taking a prescription drug for: anticoagulation (thinning the blood); diabetes; gout; arthritis. Stop use and ask a doctor if: pain or fever persists or gets worse; redness or swelling is present; new or unexpected symptoms occur; ringing in the ears or loss of hearing occurs; sore throat is severe, persists for more than 2 days, is accompanied by or followed by a fever, headache, rash, nausea, or vomiting. These could be signs of a serious condition. If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health professional before use. It is especially important not to use aspirin during the last 3 months of pregnancy unless definitely directed to do so by a doctor because it may cause problems in the unborn child or complications during delivery. Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.
